Rastaala School hosts three different pre-primary groups. In our work community, you will work alongside experienced professionals. We continuously evaluate and develop our activities. As an early childhood education childcare worker, you will be responsible for the upbringing and care of your group's children together with your team, in accordance with Espoo's VASU/EOPS guidelines. You will work in a pre-primary group with the school's pre-primary teacher, two early childhood education childcare workers, and an early childhood education teacher. Our goal is to support each child's development and learning within their own group. By differentiating activities, we can offer all children suitable challenges and opportunities for success, as well as the chance to develop according to their strengths. In Espoo, we view pedagogy positively and incorporate play and movement to foster self-awareness and discover personal abilities in early childhood education. Working hours: 38 hours 15 minutes/week. The position is permanent, starting from August 3, 2026. We will consider all applications received during the application period. Eligibility requirement: Qualification in accordance with the Finnish Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018, Section 28, Regulation 753/2018, Sections 3 and 4). Suitable qualifications include a basic degree in education and guidance, social and health care, or other comparable degree, which includes or has been supplemented with sufficiently extensive studies in child care, upbringing, and education. Examples include childcare worker, day care worker, and practical nurse (child and youth care program). Applicants must present a criminal record extract as specified in the Criminal Records Act, Section 6.2. The Infectious Diseases Act requires those working with preschool children to assess the risk of tuberculosis transmission.
