General Practitioner (outpatient care, Sampoharju Health Center) - Keski-Suomen hyvinvointialue - Jyväskylä, Finland

We are seeking a permanent physician for Sampoharju (Vaajakoski) Health Center. Sampoharju Health Center is located in Vaajakoski, about 5 km from Jyväskylä city center. The health center is situated in new premises completed in 2019, which include consultation rooms as well as bright and modern background workspaces. The health center has a laboratory, child health clinic, dental clinic, and mental health unit. Consulting with more experienced colleagues is easy and straightforward. Sampoharju has 10 doctor positions, serving a population of approximately 16,000 residents. Outpatient care work includes both urgent and non-urgent consultations, as well as sector work scheduled according to interest and competence (child health work, school and student health services, care home work for the elderly or people with disabilities). The work also involves some evening and weekend urgent care, but the workload is moderate, and daytime work can be lightened after emergency duties. Consultation work is based on multidisciplinary collaboration. Sampoharju social and health care station will transition to a continuous care model in 2026, where each resident will be assigned a personal doctor/team. The model is currently being developed, offering an excellent opportunity to participate in development and promote continuity and effectiveness of care.
