Orimattila is calling, do you hear the kitchen team? Great – because we might be looking for you! Vireko's kitchen in Orimattila is seeking a summer cook to join our team. We are a standard large-scale catering kitchen producing daily meals for approximately 400 customers during summer 2026. It’s a large kitchen with big plans. We prepare basic meals, but beyond cooking, you will have the opportunity to apply your skills, learn new things, and do meaningful work. As a cook, you will be involved in preparing proper meals with pots and ovens, and you should also be able to accommodate special diets. Our team is quite large, with a total of 12 colleagues, all highly skilled kitchen professionals. Did you know that large-scale kitchen work is not the easiest? The summer cook position is full-time, from May 25 to August 16, 2026. If you need to fill your summer schedule, this is just the right opportunity! Work begins as soon as a suitable candidate is found, and please note that we work in the kitchen every day. Our kitchen operates in shifts from Monday to Sunday, between 7:00 and 18:00. What do you need to stand out in our recruitment? You don’t need to be a master chef, but a few basic things help a lot: Education or experience in kitchen work is essential, knowledge of special diets, a hygiene passport, Finnish language skills at least at B1 level (since instructions are in Finnish), a proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work in a team (these are the things that make the workday smooth and sometimes even fun). Before you submit your application, a few things: We operate under the MARA industry collective agreement, so employment terms and pay are based on it, considering your experience.
