Job Description
We are seeking an early childhood education teacher for a permanent position at Kivennava Day Care Centre. Our day care centre began operations at the start of the year. During the spring, the unit operated four children's groups, and from August, our operations will expand to six groups. In the coming operational period, your group will be the 1-3-year-olds group 'Orvokit', where you will work alongside an early childhood education social worker and an early childhood education childcare worker. Our day care centre has an assistant director working as a partner to the director, whose duties include strengthening and supporting the pedagogy and development work of the unit and teams. We are an open day care centre that boldly experiments with new things. A warm atmosphere, lack of rush, and a welcoming embrace are our values. Our staff is united by strong professionalism and an understanding of the significance of early childhood education work. The development of a new unit and the creation of a shared pedagogy are strongly evident in our day care centre. Our day care centre is located in the immediate vicinity of the Tapiola center, with good public transport connections. There are excellent hiking opportunities around the day care centre, with local nature and forest right behind our fence. Eligibility requirement: Eligibility in accordance with the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018). At least a Bachelor of Education degree that includes early childhood education teacher training, or a university of applied sciences degree in social services and health care (early childhood education), or a previous equivalent college-level degree, e.g., a kindergarten teacher or social educator degree (Act 272/2005 and Decree No. 608/2005). Early childhood education teachers who are about to graduate will also be considered in the application process. We require a positive attitude and good teamwork skills. The person selected for the position must present a criminal record extract as referred to in Section 6.2 of the Criminal Records Act. The Communicable Diseases Act requires the clarification of tuberculosis infection risk for those working with children under school age.
