We are looking for a social counselor (Bachelor of Social Services) to join our multidisciplinary team. The role involves working with clients to plan, implement, and evaluate their rehabilitation as part of the team. Responsibilities include assessing individual support needs, strengthening clients' resources, and guiding them towards more independent living. The work emphasizes active support for clients' daily life and participation, promoting social functioning and well-being through practical and innovative methods. The social counselor makes decisions in accordance with social welfare law and collaborates with the client and their designated worker to develop a client/implementation plan. We expect from applicants: - Degree in Social Services (Bachelor of Social Services, Act on Social Welfare Professionals 817/2015, Section 8) - Enthusiastic and development-oriented attitude, good communication and teamwork skills - Good group facilitation skills and experience - Ability to document client work - Knowledge of mental health and substance abuse work - Knowledge of social life coaching is considered an advantage - Good Finnish language skills and basic English skills The position involves: - Social counseling in client work both remotely and in the unit - Making decisions in the client information system - Planning and developing activities as part of a multidisciplinary team - Rehabilitation of mental health and substance abuse clients in groups and individually - Implementation and decisions on remote rehabilitation (60% of working hours) Work unit description: Functional rehabilitation is intended for clients with mental health or substance abuse issues. It may include group activities and individual support. Group activities include rehabilitative, well-being, and recovery-supporting groups. The goal is for clients to rehabilitate according to their own objectives. Rehabilitation is based on a decision under the Social Welfare Act. Remote rehabilitation is conducted via Satasovellus according to agreement. It can be individual or group sessions. Clients register for groups similarly to traditional services and participate from their own devices (computer or tablet). The working week is 38.45 hours, day shifts, flexible working hours, and partial remote work. The workplace is in Eura, but rehabilitation is also carried out from the Pori office.
