Job Description

Knowledge of learning support and S2 teaching, willingness and readiness to develop and implement flexible teaching arrangements and cross-class collaboration, and neurodiversity expertise are considered an advantage. Mukkula Elementary School is a school providing grades 1-9 basic education with approximately 730 students, located in the Mukkula district about four kilometers from the city center. The school shares a building with Mukkula Daycare and Mukkula Library, with whom close cooperation is maintained. There are good sports and outdoor facilities next to the school, and the environment is actively used in teaching. In addition to general education grades 1-9, our school community includes special classes, demanding multidisciplinary support classes, preparatory education for immigrants, and collaboration with preschool education. Our school also offers specialized physical education. In our diverse school community, we look to the future with hope, working together. A good working atmosphere and professional collaboration among different actors are our strengths. The qualification requirement is a valid special class teacher qualification. Teacher qualifications are determined according to the decree no 986/98 on the qualifications of education personnel. If there are no qualified applicants, the position can be filled with an applicant without the qualification. The position requires good Finnish language skills. Original certificates will be checked in the possible interview. The selected candidate must present a criminal background check as required by law 504/2002 before starting the position.
