Two fixed-term positions for school assistants are available at Kaukovainio School from August 12, 2026, to December 31, 2026. One position involves a 32-hour workweek, and the other a 35-hour workweek. The tasks also include afternoon activities. Our school is part of Hiirihaukka House. The comprehensive education offering includes special physical education classes, small group instruction, preparatory education, and special education for students with demanding needs. The youth center activities at Hiirihaukka House provide supervised activities for children and youth on weekdays until 8 p.m. Additionally, Hiirihaukka House hosts a library serving all residents. We are seeking an enthusiastic and development-oriented school assistant to contribute to curriculum-based development work, a positive working environment, and collaborative planning and implementation of teaching. Qualifications include a professional qualification in school assistance and morning and afternoon activity guidance, a practical nurse qualification with a focus on children and youth, or other suitable professional qualifications, including pedagogical or educational studies. The salary for the school assistant position is based on the job-specific pay scale and levels of competence and responsibility, ranging from €2,341.57 to €2,460.00. The actual salary consists of a task-specific salary and possible other allowances according to KVTES. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract related to working with children, as required by law (504/2002) section 3, before starting the position.
