Job Description
Welcome to the position of department physician at HUS Diagnostics Center! HUS Diagnostics Center is Finland's leading provider of clinical laboratory and imaging services. Our primary operational area is the specialized healthcare of the HUS consortium and the primary healthcare of the well-being areas affiliated with HUS. We also handle laboratory and imaging operations for the Kymenlaakso and South Karelia well-being areas. We operate across eight medical specialties. We are responsible for several nationally specialized examinations as well as research and education at university hospitals. Diagnostic examinations play a central role in confirming, excluding, and monitoring diseases, as part of treatment and screening. Approximately 3,300 laboratory and imaging specialists work at HUS Diagnostics Center across more than 150 locations. We are currently seeking a department physician for the Diagnostics Center, in the radiology unit at Hyvinkää Hospital, Central Uusimaa. We offer you the opportunity to work with modern technology in your profession. Our units perform a variety of radiological examinations and procedures, including native imaging, CT and MRI scans, mammography, and ultrasound examinations. The position requires a specialist qualification in radiology. The applicant should have up-to-date and comprehensive skills in native, ultrasound, computed tomography, and MRI procedures. The role involves on-call duties. Part-time remote work is also possible upon agreement. The position requires proficiency in one native language and satisfactory skills in the other in both written and spoken forms. The salary for the department physician position is based on the career ladder for doctors, starting at 6,300 euros/month (level 2A), with possible experience and other allowances. There is also a performance-based bonus system in radiology. The employment start date is July 1, 2026, or as agreed. Please apply as soon as possible, no later than June 2, 2026. Language requirements include good spoken and written skills in Finnish and satisfactory skills in Swedish, or good skills in Swedish and satisfactory skills in Finnish. We require vaccination against infectious diseases for those working in patient and customer areas, and health status verification for those working in healthcare units, regarding tuberculosis.
