Factory Planning and Expansion Lead - Skydio - Remote - Global

Skydio is seeking a highly experienced Factory Planning & Expansion Lead to drive end-to-end planning, factory layout, and support construction of new manufacturing facilities and expansions of existing sites. The role involves factory design, layouts, space planning, capital projects, site development, contractor management, and industrial building systems. The candidate will lead large-scale factory design from concept to commissioning, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet operational requirements. Responsibilities include supporting all phases of factory expansion projects, serving as the owner’s representative for construction activities, developing project scopes, schedules, budgets, and capital expenditure plans, supporting construction execution, collaborating with manufacturing and engineering teams, reviewing design drawings, implementing project governance, overseeing commissioning, and ensuring smooth transition to operations. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field, 10+ years of experience in industrial construction or capital projects, proven track record in delivering large-scale manufacturing facilities, strong project management skills, deep understanding of industrial building systems, experience in fast-paced manufacturing environments, familiarity with lean factory design, sustainability, and energy systems. Compensation includes a base salary of $147,000 - $210,000, stock options, benefits such as paid vacation, sick leave, holiday pay, and 401K. The role emphasizes diversity and inclusion.
