Come lead the mediation, investigation, and meeting point activities team of the Vantaa and Kerava wellbeing area! As a Leading Social Worker, you will act as the supervisor of your operational unit and lead your 11-person team, which includes family mediation, situational investigations, meeting point activities, and social guidance for divorce. As the unit supervisor, you are responsible for the direct management of your staff and for ensuring that the services provided to our clients work in the best possible way. You will also provide upper management with situational information about your unit's operations and lead your unit's activities in accordance with the sector's and service area's action plan and the wellbeing area's strategy. You will work closely within your own service area and, if necessary, with other wellbeing area operators and stakeholders. You will develop your unit's work innovatively together with your staff. Eligibility for the position is the qualification of a social worker (Act on Social Care Professionals 817/2015 7§). In addition, we require: - Previous experience in leadership positions in social services for families with children - Good written and oral skills in Finnish and satisfactory written and oral skills in Swedish. Additionally, we value: - Excellent interaction skills - Evidence of coaching, goal-oriented, and courageous personnel management - Understanding of financial management - Ability to operate naturally in networks - Previous experience with family law services (knowledge of operations and legislation) Ability to act as a builder of change and uniform operating models will also help in succeeding in the position. The position is located in the sector of services for families with children and adult social work, in the service area of services supporting families, and further in the task area of psychosocial services for families with children. The task area is responsible for the wellbeing area's parenting and family counseling and family law services. You are part of the task area's multidisciplinary management group. Information about the employment relationship: Duration: Permanent starting 01.09.2026 or by agreement Type: Full-time Form: Official relationship (Virkasuhde) Eligibility requirement: Social worker (Legalization according to Act 817/2015 7§) Number of positions: 1 Required permits: The selected person must present a criminal record extract as intended in Section 6, subsection 2 of the Criminal Records Act. Position-specific salary: 4,532.23 eur/month, plus a possible addition based on previous work experience. The terms of the employment relationship are determined in accordance with the Social and Health Care Work and Official Agreement (SOTE agreement).
