We are seeking a temporary early childhood education social worker for Vihanti Daycare, from August 3, 2026, to January 5, 2027. Job Description In early childhood education, the work involves implementing education, upbringing, and care according to the early childhood education plan. As an early childhood education social worker, you will participate in pedagogical planning and evaluation, support families, and coordinate multidisciplinary cooperation. Your tasks include close collaboration with staff, guardians, and other partners. Knowledge of documents guiding early childhood education and sufficient Finnish language skills are required. Additionally, we expect flexibility, constructive and respectful communication skills, and a willingness to work towards the development of the entire daycare. Eligibility Requirements To qualify for the position of early childhood education social worker, you must have a degree in social services and health care, including at least 60 ECTS credits in early childhood education and social pedagogy, or a social worker degree supplemented with these studies, as specified by government regulation. In the absence of qualified applicants, the temporary position may also be filled by a person without the required degree. The selected candidate must provide a criminal record extract issued within the scope of Act 504/2002 and a tuberculosis statement as per the Infectious Diseases Act, section 55, before starting employment. Employment Terms Employment terms are governed by the municipal collective agreement (KVTES). The trial period, if applicable, will be determined based on the duration of the fixed-term contract.
