Now you have a unique opportunity to join our frontline team for mental health and substance abuse services and participate in a pilot project creating a new way to provide mental health and substance abuse services at the extended opening hours urgent care in Lohja. The work includes assessing the need for care of mental health and substance abuse patients, guiding them to further treatment, and acting as an expert in mental health and substance abuse work. Independent decision-making and collaboration with other professionals (e.g., joint consultations with doctors) are part of the duties. The role involves developing and conceptualizing the nurse's role in mental health and substance abuse services at the health center's urgent care, making you a key player in work development. There is also an opportunity to conduct internal training, for example, on recognizing and discussing substance abuse problems. Success in the role requires a brave, positive, and proactive attitude, as well as valid medication licenses. The role requires vaccination protection according to the Infectious Diseases Act §48 and tuberculosis screening according to §55. A criminal record extract for working with children must be provided before signing the employment contract. Experience with mental health and substance abuse services in the Western Uusimaa welfare area is considered an advantage.
