A fixed-term position for a special education teacher in basic education is available at Maikkula School from August 10, 2026, to January 30, 2027. The teaching subject is comprehensive special education in a primary school. Maikkula School is a comprehensive primary school with approximately 530 students located in the southern area of Oulu. The school employs 70 education and teaching professionals. We are a SOPU school (mediation and intervention). Qualifications are determined according to the decree on the qualifications of education personnel 986/1998. Original certificates demonstrating qualifications must be presented during the interview. Experience in special education is considered an advantage. Salary is based on the municipal collective agreement for teaching staff. Before the appointment is confirmed, the selected candidate must, within 30 days of receiving the decision, present a criminal background check issued under the Act on Background Checks of Persons Working with Children (504/2002), section 3.
