We are seeking an Early Childhood Education Social Worker for a permanent position starting August 1, 2026, at Saloinen Daycare. Job Description In early childhood education, the work involves implementing education, upbringing, and care according to the early childhood education plan. As an Early Childhood Education Social Worker, you will participate in pedagogical planning and evaluation, support families, and coordinate multidisciplinary cooperation. Your tasks include close collaboration with staff, guardians, and other partners. Knowledge of documents guiding early childhood education and sufficient Finnish language skills are required. We also appreciate bringing community, social, and pedagogical perspectives and expertise to the work community. You should be able to sensibly meet children. Flexibility, constructive and respectful communication skills, and a willingness to contribute to the development of the entire daycare are also expected. Eligibility Requirements The qualification for the position of Early Childhood Education Social Worker is a degree in social services and health care, including at least 60 credits in early childhood education and social pedagogy, or a social services and health care degree supplemented with these studies, as specified by government regulation. In the absence of qualified applicants, the position may be filled temporarily with a person who does not meet the qualification requirements. The selected candidate must provide a criminal record extract as per Act 504/2002 and a tuberculosis health certificate before starting employment. A medical certificate of health is also required. Employment Terms Employment terms are governed by the municipal collective agreement (KVTES). The probation period is six (6) months.
