Quality Development Engineer - Nammo Lapua Oy

We are currently hiring two Quality Development Engineers at Nammo Lapua Oy's Vihtavuori and Sastamala facilities to ensure that we produce products that meet customer and quality requirements. In this role, you will be responsible for the measurement management system and related calibration oversight, as well as developing measurement methods and techniques. Your tasks include determining measurement uncertainties, performing statistical analysis, and planning and executing quality improvement projects. Additionally, the quality development engineer acts as a quality expert in new product development and participates in investment projects and initiatives to ensure quality requirements are met. The role also involves participating in supplier audits and managing supplier quality development and monitoring. You will also serve as a supervisor for a small team of quality inspectors. You will report to the Quality Manager. Both positions are permanent, with one located in Sastamala and the other in Vihtavuori. These roles are new, and the final job descriptions will be clarified based on the selected candidate. You have a suitable technical education (e.g., mechanical, materials, or automation engineering degree) and previous experience in similar roles, preferably in assembly or machine manufacturing industries. You are familiar with quality systems, standards, and quality improvement methods, and have knowledge of measurement methods, measurement automation, and calibration requirements. You work proactively, systematically, and are capable of documentation. Lean Six Sigma and SPC skills, as well as leadership experience, are considered an advantage. Success in this role requires good collaboration and communication skills, as well as fluent Finnish and English language skills.
