We are looking for HOBBY INSTRUCTORS Kuusamo City is participating in the Finnish Hobby Model project. The goal of the project is to offer elementary school students meaningful and free hobbies during the school day. The project is funded by the Ministry of Education and Culture. We are recruiting activity instructors for fixed-term employment from September 7, 2026, to May 21, 2027. The hobby activity instructor works as a facilitator of various hobby sessions in elementary schools organized by the project. The instructor should also be capable of guiding children and youth who need more personalized support and encouragement. Qualifications include a suitable higher education, vocational college, or other secondary level professional qualification. Additionally, good interaction and communication skills, teamwork ability, initiative, and a responsible and developmental approach to work are required. Successful performance in the role requires experience working with children and youth and leading hobby groups, as well as the ability to use a personal car. Multidisciplinary skills in sports or culture are considered an advantage. Employment terms are governed by the Municipal General Collective Agreement (KVTES). The position follows the probation period specified in KVTES. The selected candidate must present a valid criminal record extract as required by law (504/2002) within 30 days of the employment decision.
