Job Description

We are hiring two (2) temporary after-school activity supervisors for early childhood education in the municipality of Loppi, from August 10, 2026, to December 31, 2026. The organization of morning and afternoon activities will be reviewed during the operational year. If the group size drops below 7 children during the semester, the activity will be discontinued at the end of the semester on December 31, 2026. If the activity continues into the spring semester, the employment will be extended until June 4, 2027. The tasks are located at Launosten and Läyliäisten schools. Afternoon activities are offered on school days. We are looking for someone who inspires, involves, and encourages young schoolchildren to engage in meaningful activities after school. We expect you to have an interest in and commitment to diverse after-school activities for children, especially outdoor and physical activities. We hope you are prepared to collaborate with the preschool group operating within the school premises. The role requires the ability to work independently, a proactive attitude towards developing your activities, and experience working with children. We value a sensitive, positive, and firm approach when necessary, as well as good communication skills. Successful performance in the role requires good oral and written Finnish language skills. Applicants must have a qualification in school or early childhood education, a basic social and health care qualification / relevant specialization, or another suitable degree (the employer will assess equivalency). In the absence of qualified applicants, non-qualified applicants will also be considered. The selected candidate must, before confirmation of employment, notify acceptance of the position and submit a criminal record extract in accordance with Act 504/2002 within 30 days of the decision. This is a part-time position, with a working time of 20.5 hours per week (53.59%). Salary is based on the municipal general collective agreement (KVTES). The current position-specific salary is €2,301.04 per month (the salary for 53.59% work time is €1,233.13/month). The position includes a two-month probation period. Original certificates of qualification will be requested for review from those invited to interviews.
