Job Description

We are looking for a postal worker in the Kanta-Häme region – Work according to your own schedule! We are now seeking a proactive and independent summer employee for July-August in the Kanta-Häme Riihimäki area. Specific periods: 29.6-1.8.2026 and 3.8-25.8.2026. The starting point is Hämeenlinna, and the delivery takes place in the Riihimäki area. In this job, you will enjoy freedom and fresh air, as you can plan your workday quite flexibly. After the summer peak, there is a possibility to stay on as a call-in employee if needed. What does the work involve? Your work is diverse delivery work, ensuring that letters, newspapers, and packages of various sizes (from small to XL) reach the correct addresses. Working days are Monday–Thursday (4 days/week). Working hours: approximately 6–8 hours per day. The work is performed between 7:00 and 18:00 depending on the area. Equipment: You will be provided with the company’s vehicle, so you do not need your own car for delivery. We expect from you: A proactive attitude and ability to work independently. Carefulness and accuracy to ensure correct mail reaches the right mailbox. A valid driver’s license. Start and orientation: The work begins with comprehensive training as soon as a suitable person is found. You will learn delivery routes and procedures alongside an experienced courier. Salary: The employment follows the Distribution Collective Agreement. Hourly wage: €11.50/h. The pay is task-based. The routes have estimated times, and the workload varies depending on the volume of items to be delivered.
