Job Description
Hello, you interested in gynecology and pregnancy care nursing, bring your expertise to us! We are looking for a midwife for a fixed-term position from September 24, 2026, to May 30, 2027, at the gynecology and maternity clinics of Porvoo Hospital. Our unit operates gynecology and maternity clinics, where our staff work flexibly. Our clinics also include a procedure outpatient clinic where we perform colposcopies and hysteroscopies. At the midwife clinics, we handle outpatient pregnancy terminations and iron infusions. Additionally, our midwives conduct independent nurse clinics (e.g., pregnancy diabetes, baby, and breastfeeding clinics), and some perform pregnancy ultrasound screenings. Experience in the aforementioned areas and from maternity and gynecology clinics is considered an advantage. New employment relationships follow the SOTE agreement’s trial period. The task-specific salary is €3,218.18/month, with possible experience and other allowances. Qualifications for the position: Licensed midwife or licensed nurse with a specialization in maternity and gynecology studies. Language skills required are good oral and written Finnish and satisfactory oral and written Swedish, or good oral and written Swedish and satisfactory oral and written Finnish. We require vaccination against infectious diseases according to the Communicable Diseases Act for those working in customer and patient areas, and health status verification for tuberculosis for those working in healthcare units.
