Full-time Hourly Teacher of Religion and Psychology - Mäntsälän kunta - Mäntsälä, Finland

Mäntsälä education services are seeking a full-time hourly teacher of religion and psychology for the period 1.8.2026-31.7.2027. The place of assignment is Mäntsälä Upper Secondary School. The subjects to be taught are ev.lut. religion and psychology. The number of courses for the school year is 21. In addition, it is possible to include group instructor duties in the task. Eligibility requirements according to decree 986/98 are required for the position, as well as experience in teaching upper secondary school religion and psychology. We expect a developing and experimental approach, knowledge of the curriculum and participation in the development of the school community. We also expect responsibility, flexibility and good interaction skills. We require pedagogical expertise according to the curriculum, information and communication technology skills as well as good group management skills and ideas. There are slightly over 300 students at Mäntsälä Upper Secondary School. At the high school, we work with the operational idea "High school of many opportunities - together we make miracles!". Based on student feedback, our high school has a good and immediate atmosphere. Mäntsälä Upper Secondary School is located in the center of the municipality of Mäntsälä, a short walk from the train station. Salary and terms of employment are determined by the municipal education personnel collective agreement (OVTES). The task-specific salary for a qualified teacher starting 1.8.2026: 3491.69 eur/month. In addition, a yearly increase can be paid based on previous work experience. A four-month probationary period is followed in the filling of the task.
