Job Description
We are seeking a personal assistant for a female employer with MS, located in Alajärvi. ASSIGNMENT: Work is scheduled from June 22 to July 3 and from July 27 to July 31, 2026. Work is primarily on weekdays from 10 am to 5 pm. A personal assistant is also sought for weekend work starting from May 30, 2026. There are 1-2 weekends of work per month. Work hours are generally from 10 am to 4 pm. Currently known shifts: June 20-21, July 18-19, August 15-16, and August 29-30. A weekend shift personal assistant is needed. There are 2-4 weekends of work per month. Working hours are 6 hours per day. Also, substitution for another assistant. Please specify in your application which position you are interested in. Duties include household tasks, cooking, assistance with dressing, bathroom functions, bathing, and accompanying to medical appointments. The employer has assistive devices such as a ceiling hoist and a wheelchair, so assistance with mobility and transfers is also required. The job requires good physical condition and flexibility. Experience in the field is considered an advantage. The household has cats. Training will be provided. The employer requires COVID-19 vaccinations. The employer is a member of the HETA union, and the employment relationship follows the HETA collective agreement. Selection may be made during the application period once a suitable candidate is found. Please note that the employer is the person receiving assistance, i.e., a private individual.
