MTK Keski-Pohjanmaa is part of the national MTK organization representing farmers, forest owners, and rural entrepreneurs. The region covers Central Ostrobothnia and southern parts of Northern Ostrobothnia, with 16 producer associations and about 1,660 member farms. The work focuses on supporting the future of Finnish food production and rural vitality. The team consists of four people. The organization is seeking a project manager for the POTEX project to develop the Finnish potato sector. The role involves managing and coordinating the project, activating potato producers, planning and facilitating workshops and seminars, building a producer organization model, collecting market and international data, communication, and international cooperation. The work is mobile, network-based, and occasionally international, with travel within Finland and abroad. The ideal candidate has a development mindset, knowledge of agriculture, trust-building skills, initiative, and a relevant higher education degree. Experience in project work, understanding of EU rural development projects, and language skills in English and Swedish are advantageous. The position offers a full-time role with a salary of 3,800–4,200 €/month, starting from August 1, 2026, or as agreed.
