We are looking for an assistant for a approximately 2-year-old child at Silkkiuikku daycare. The child has cerebral palsy and needs the presence of an assistant in all daily activities. Your task is to support the child in movement, play, dining situations and all other daily activities so that the child can participate in the daycare's activities as equally as possible. Silkkiuikku daycare is a relatively small, home-like daycare with five groups in the middle of Lauttasaari. Our entire unit's staff is committed and the operation is child-oriented and inclusive. Our priorities are play, movement, creativity and nature. In our activities, we emphasize children's participation, long-term play and hiking in the immediate nature. A common theme throughout the unit is the development of children's emotional skills as well as the identification of their own strengths and the development of yard pedagogy. Also the common goals of the entire city: strengthening children's language learning and reading skills and a sense of belonging to a group are strongly present in the planning and implementation of activities. We expect commitment from you, a sensitive way of meeting people and good interaction skills. Silkkiuikku daycare is located within easy reach near the Lauttasaari metro station. Eligibility requirements: We require that you have a suitable vocational qualification in education and guidance or another suitable degree. A suitable degree for assistant tasks is, for example, a vocational qualification for school assistants, family daycare providers, and early childhood education and care, and a qualification for practical nurses or disabled care nurses. In addition, we require good oral and satisfactory written skills in Finnish. The selected person must present a valid criminal record extract for working with children (504/2002). A tuberculosis clearance for the respiratory system for those working with children under school age is checked (Infectious Diseases Act § 55).
