The City of Rovaniemi is seeking a high school teacher for a fixed-term position from August 10, 2026, to June 5, 2027. The position is located at Lyseonpuisto High School. The fixed-term appointment is due to a temporary replacement. Subjects to be taught include Evangelical Lutheran religion and psychology. The qualification requirement for the position is a high school subject teacher qualification, which complies with the regulations on the qualifications of education personnel (986/1998). If no qualified applicants are available, teaching may be assigned to a person with sufficient education and skills required for the position. We expect the selected person to have good cooperation and interaction skills, versatile and student-centered pedagogical expertise, and the ability to participate in the development of the school's activities. Salary and employment terms are determined according to the municipal sector's collective agreement for teaching staff. The base salary according to the pay scale is €3,554.54 at the start of employment, depending on the applicant's qualifications. In addition, a salary supplement based on the assessment of the job's complexity may be paid. The position is subject to a six (6) month probationary period. The selected candidate must submit a criminal record extract related to working with children (504/2002).
