Job Description
South Savo Welfare Area Eloisa is seeking a registered nurse for a permanent position in Pertunmaa home care starting from August 17, 2026, or according to agreement. Our base is located centrally in the same premises as the residential service unit Rinnehovi. Our team consists of 13 employees. A small, close-knit work community provides a pleasant framework for multidisciplinary work. We serve approximately 50 clients monthly. Clients living nearby are reached on foot or by bicycle; for longer distances, we use cars. Our unit has two leasing cars. Especially in good weather, driving is quite enjoyable and allows for recovery time — even while listening to music! The customer is at the center of home care work, and collaboration between different professional groups enables the best service for our clients. The purpose of the work is to support the client’s functional capacity and life management so they can live safely at home for as long as possible. The working hours for the nurse are shift work. Night shifts are not included. You can influence your own shifts through communal shift planning. The primary work location is Pertunmaa home care, but shifts may also be assigned to other units within Eloisa’s home care in nearby municipalities as needed. Currently, there is a need for weekday morning shifts in our unit; evening or weekend shifts are also available if desired. The nurse’s work in home care involves comprehensive care and service for clients. It includes acute and long-term nursing, medication management, rehabilitation, health promotion, and assistance with daily activities. The work involves assessing the client’s care and service needs and providing service guidance. Home care is carried out in multidisciplinary teams, where the nurse and practical nurse are responsible together for the care of home care clients according to care and service plans. Home care also participates in providing support services delivered to clients’ homes. We are looking for a cooperative, responsible, and development-oriented nursing professional. The nurse acts as a maintainer of overall functions within the home care team and ensures the well-being of clients together with the team and stakeholders. You will have the support of the Situation Center for assessing care needs and safety issues around the clock. We use a needs-based operational model aimed at high-quality customer service, employee well-being, and operational efficiency. In home care, we use the Hilkka management system and the LifeCare patient information system. Eloisa’s home care is a continuously developing environment that utilizes technology and pilots various operational models and services. Our positive work community values open collaboration. We invest in employee well-being. We offer a respectful and cohesive work environment where you can enjoy the freedom of movement and utilize your professional skills in diverse ways. The best aspects of Pertunmaa home care are its diversity, meaningfulness, and opportunities for development! Independent work challenges and rewards. You can utilize your skills and problem-solving abilities in many ways, and your professional growth happens daily. We have a dynamic atmosphere, and time certainly does not pass slowly! Eloisa offers employees a benefit worth 200 euros for use in sports, culture, or well-being services. We want you to enjoy your work and feel good with us. Qualifications include a higher education degree as a registered nurse or a previous diploma-level qualification, along with a license issued under the Act on Health Care Professionals (559/94). Additionally, sufficient spoken and written Finnish language skills are required, as well as a valid driver’s license, which is essential for the role. Car use is considered an advantage. The role requires vaccination against infectious diseases as per section 48 of the Infectious Diseases Act and a health status report regarding respiratory tuberculosis as per section 55. The employment relationship includes a six (6) month trial period. Applicants working with the elderly must present an acceptable criminal record extract before starting work if the employment exceeds three months (Supervision Act 741/2023, section 28). Applications must be received by the deadline. Applications should be submitted through the Kuntarekry system.
