Class Teacher, Laakavuoren ala-asteen koulu - Helsingin kaupunki - Helsinki, Finland

We are looking for two substitute class teachers for the period from August 10 to December 19, 2026. The substitutes will work with grades 4 and 5. Laakavuoren ala-aste in East Helsinki is a diverse local school with about 250 students. The school has six small groups receiving special support. In autumn 2024, a preparatory teaching group started at our school. We participate in the integration-promoting 'Welcome Families' activity. Everyone at our school has the opportunity to learn good basic skills in a open atmosphere. We respect each other and encourage participation and responsibility. All classes collaborate with flexible grouping. Laakavuoren ala-aste is on a journey of reforms and changes. We are in a process of creating a new unified basic school, which will be built in the form of a multi-purpose center replacing the old school building. During construction, we will move to a temporary location next school year. Laakavuoren ala-aste has a good working atmosphere and a community spirit. In fixed-term positions, applicants who meet the qualification requirements are considered, and those without the required qualification are also considered. Experience in teaching and readiness to teach crafts (hard materials) are considered an advantage.
