Insta Industrial seeks experienced instrumentation designers for permanent roles in our expert services unit. In this position you will work as an instrumentation designer on diverse projects and ongoing maintenance. You will handle instrument specifications and procurement and be responsible for wiring design. You will participate in project commissioning and testing. You will naturally perform other varied instrumentation design tasks. In instrumentation/HW design we mainly use ALMA and CADMATIC design tools. For more experienced designers we offer the opportunity to take on the lead designer tasks such as upfront design, specifications, reporting and developing solutions for the most demanding projects. You will also support colleagues in technical matters. The position is permanent and full-time. We mainly serve customers within Finland. Customer visits may be 20–60 days per year, typically in the Uusimaa region. You can work from our offices in Vantaa, Porvoo, Tampere, Raisio or Lappeenranta. Flexible remote work is also possible part of the week. Your future team will be composed of professionals in instrumentation, automation and electrification. We look for you with at least about 5 years of experience in instrumentation and automation HW design, who can utilise various design tools and quickly learn new technologies. You will be able to understand every project phase from early concept through commissioning. You will work smoothly at customer interfaces, have strong teamwork, and be able to drive your work with support from your supervisor and team. You have a degree in automation engineering (AMK or M.Sc. degree). Excellent written and spoken Finnish and good English are required. Prior experience in refining and/or petrochemical industries, knowledge of the ALMA design system and ATEX knowledge are considered pluses.
