Permanent Registered Nurse at Voutilakeskus Impivaara in Hämeenlinna - Kanta-Hämeen hyvinvointialue - Hämeenlinna, Finland

We are looking for a registered nurse for the 24-hour care unit Voutilakeskus Impivaara in Hämeenlinna city center, to a permanent position. Our work community currently includes a deputy manager, three registered nurses, a team coordinator, practical nurses, care assistants, and a supervisor. We are seeking a committed and motivated nurse with an interest in elderly care. The position is currently day shift. We offer 24-hour long-term assisted living for 52 residents in bright and spacious facilities across four small homes. The daily work approach is rehabilitative. In Oma Häme’s elderly services, the nurse’s role is versatile and independent, focusing on maintaining residents’ functional capacity, coordinating care, and supporting safe daily living in round-the-clock care services. The role also includes developing unit operations and promoting work well-being in collaboration with staff. The nurse is responsible for medication management, implementing and instructing on medication changes, assessing residents’ care needs, and participating in basic nursing work. The qualification requirement is a licensed nurse degree. Registration with the Finnish National Registry for Social Welfare and Health Care Professionals is required. Participation in medication management requires a valid medication license, which can be updated or obtained at the start of employment. The salary for this position is €2977.75/month. Additional experience-based pay (3%-8%) is also paid. The length of service affects the accrual of holiday days. The working hours are 38.25 hours per week. Salary and other employment terms are governed by the SOTE agreement. The trial period is six months. In direct patient and client work, vaccination against infectious diseases as per the Communicable Diseases Act (48 §) and a tuberculosis statement as per § 55 are required.
