We are looking for you Early Childhood Education Assistant Join the team of early childhood education professionals in Vihti to provide high-quality early childhood education in a learning community. The position is temporary from August 3, 2026, to June 24, 2027. The placement is at Ojakkala Daycare, in a 5-6-year-old group. The role is that of a personal assistant to a child. Our daycare centers have dedicated, enthusiastic, and motivated staff. Our early childhood education culture emphasizes teamwork and positive pedagogy. Our core values include respectful interaction with children and warm engagement. Your work will be supported by your own team. Ojakkala Daycare, with its five groups, is located adjacent to a school in the center of Ojakkala, near Enäjärvi and scenic forested hills ideal for excursions. Ojakkala Daycare offers families goal-oriented, pedagogically high-quality early childhood education that supports the child's growth, development, and learning, ensuring each child feels safe, valued, and part of the group. We mainly work in small groups, respecting children's initiatives, listening to them, and considering their individual needs. Play is our primary activity. We aim for holistic, project-based work. We encourage children to plan and direct their activities, discover things independently, and enjoy learning. We listen to and respect the child's guardians as primary educators, fostering good cooperation. We emphasize equality, fairness, and the child's best interests in all our activities. We expect you to have good cooperation skills and commitment to community. We especially value your sensitivity in child interaction and diversity. The selected candidate must present a criminal background check issued under the Act on Background Checks for Persons Working with Children (504/2002).
