Kalajoki Adult Education Centre is seeking a part-time violin teacher for a fixed-term contract for the 2026-2027 academic year. The centre offers violin lessons for beginners and more experienced players. Lessons are provided in Kalajoki and Himanka. Currently, the teacher has approximately 20 lessons per week, with final hours to be confirmed in the autumn after course registrations. The teaching period begins on August 31, 2026. The autumn term ends on November 30, 2026, and the spring semester runs from January 11 to May 3, 2027. Proficiency in the field, a positive and encouraging teaching style, sufficient Finnish language skills, and access to a personal car are beneficial for success in this role. Salary is based on the Local Government Collective Agreement (OVTES). The employment includes a 4-month probation period. Before starting, the selected candidate must present a criminal background check in accordance with the Act on Background Checks for Persons Working with Children (504/2002). Kalajoki Adult Education Centre is a non-formal education institution maintained by the City of Kalajoki, where people of all ages can study. Approximately 50 teachers work at the centre annually.
