Early Childhood Education Childcare Worker, Substitute, Aleksi-Luotsi Early Childhood Education Unit, Kruununhaka, Katajanokka - Helsingin kaupunki

The Aleksi-Luotsi Early Childhood Education Unit is looking for a substitute for the role of early childhood education childcare worker. Primarily, you will work in your own unit and, if needed, in other daycare centers in the area. Your tasks include duties according to the role of early childhood education childcare worker in different groups. As a substitute, you will mainly act as a temporary replacement in possible absence situations and support and enable team activities. Both daycare centers are located along good transportation routes in southern Helsinki, in Kruununhaka and Katajanokka. As an early childhood education childcare worker, you plan and implement pedagogically focused care, upbringing, and education together with other staff, in accordance with the operational plan of the early childhood education unit, Helsinki's early childhood education plan, pre-primary education plan, and the child's early childhood education plan. You are responsible for the children's needs in daily activities and promote their health and well-being. Why work with us? Qualification requirements: You must have a basic degree in early childhood education and guidance, a basic degree in social and health care, or another suitable degree, which includes or has been supplemented with sufficiently extensive studies in children's care, upbringing, and education (Early Childhood Education Act 540/2018, Section 28, Decree 753/2018 Sections 3 and 4). Recognition of foreign education by the Finnish National Agency for Education also fulfills the qualification requirement. Additionally, good oral and written skills in Finnish are required. The selected person must present a valid criminal background check for working with children (504/2002). A tuberculosis examination for working with children under school age will be checked (Communicable Diseases Act § 55).
