Job Description
Kyyhkyspuisto Daycare is a small early childhood education unit in Pohjois-Leppävaara. The daycare has four groups operating in two separate buildings. Two groups are for children aged 1-3 years, and two are for children aged 3-5 years. The teams work closely together. The buildings are connected by a naturalistic and very spacious outdoor play area. The indoor spaces are inspiring for learning, cozy, and enable diverse small group activities, play, and movement. The learning environment can be adapted to the different and changing needs of the groups. The sports park, library, and other city center services of Leppävaara are easily accessible. Forest trips can be taken directly from the daycare yard. As an early childhood education teacher, you will be responsible for the pedagogical documents of your child group, as well as planning, implementing, developing, and evaluating activities. In addition to the director, deputy director, colleagues, and future team members, your work will be supported by a specialized early childhood education teacher and a language and culture teacher. In Espoo, early childhood education teachers are also offered mentoring and diverse training opportunities. The unit regularly convenes a pedagogical team, which you will participate in as an early childhood education teacher. We emphasize a positive and development-oriented work culture. A warm atmosphere, humor, community, equality, and respectful encounters are important daily principles for us. We value diverse pedagogical activities in accordance with the early childhood education plan, especially those based on children’s natural ways of learning through play.
