HUS Breast Center is Finland's largest cancer treatment unit, employing approximately 130 doctors. The center was the first in the Nordic countries to receive the European CCC (Comprehensive Cancer Centre) certification. The Breast Center actively participates in international and national collaboration networks. Successful operation of the center requires a strong focus on research. We are now seeking a specialist doctor for the HUS Breast Surgery Line, which is the largest unit in the Nordic countries specializing in surgical treatment of breast cancer. The line also monitors and treats women with high hereditary breast cancer risk. We are looking for a breast surgeon skilled in oncoplastic surgical techniques, including reduction mammoplasty techniques. The Breast Surgery Line offers interesting and diverse work in breast cancer diagnostics and surgical treatment, with opportunities for professional development and scientific research. To succeed in this role, the candidate must have: - Excellent knowledge of breast cancer diagnosis and treatment - Proficiency in oncoplastic breast-conserving surgical methods, especially reduction mammoplasty techniques - Initiative, efficiency, and flexibility in both outpatient and operating room work - Good collaboration and communication skills Preferred qualifications include: - Experience working as a specialist doctor in a university hospital-level breast surgical unit The position begins on September 1, 2026, or by agreement.
