Kitchen Shift Supervisor, Ståhlberg Cafés Oy - Arwo Rekry Oy - Tampere, Finland

Are you a reliable team player in the kitchen who can keep things running smoothly even in busy times? Do you want responsibility but also to be hands-on? You will help create efficient daily routines, clear operational procedures, and a strong team culture from the start. We are looking for a skilled and experienced kitchen shift supervisor for a permanent full-time position at Ståhlberg Cafés. A new restaurant will open in August 2026 in the Tulli district of Tampere. As a kitchen shift supervisor, you will ensure that daily operations run smoothly and quality is maintained even during busy periods. You will be the right hand to the kitchen manager and lead practical activities during your shift. You will ensure work progresses with high standards even under pressure. Work tasks: - Overseeing smooth daily kitchen operations and ensuring quality during your shift - Food preparation and plating together with the team, considering hygiene practices - Work division and prioritization in the kitchen - Guiding and leading the kitchen team together with the kitchen manager in a supportive and solution-oriented manner - Training new employees during your shift - Covering for the kitchen manager when they are absent. The restaurant is open every day, and the work is primarily daytime, but may include occasional evening shifts depending on operational needs. We expect from you: - Previous experience in similar roles - Reliability and a solution-focused approach - Experience in preparing buffet lunch dishes - Strong communication skills and leading by example - Hygiene passport - Fluent Finnish language skills. Knowledge of the Resolution cash register system and MaraPlan shift planning software is considered an advantage.
