Practical Nurse, Stella Residential Service Center, Pietarsaari, Wellbeing Services County of Ostrobothnia - Pohjanmaan hyvinvointialue - Jakobstad, Finland

We are seeking a substitute practical nurse for the Wellbeing Services County of Ostrobothnia, initially placed at Stella in Pietarsaari. Stella's activities are aimed at young adults with neuropsychiatric diagnoses. The staff provides support and guidance to individuals living in their own apartments. Stella's facilities are located on Otto Malminkatu in Pietarsaari and include 21 apartments. One of these apartments is designated for staff, and another serves as a training apartment. The remaining apartments are rented to individuals receiving daily support and guidance from Stella staff. Staff working hours are Mon-Fri from 7 am to 11 pm and Sat-Sun from 8 am to 11 pm. Support is also provided to individuals living in Luoto, Pedersöre, Uusikaarlepyy, and Kruunupyy. The work focuses on guiding clients in daily routines and activities that are part of living in their own homes. The goal is to utilize the client's strengths and resources to improve challenging areas through positive guidance and support. We work with clear and simple objectives to help the client become as independent as possible. Job duties require a driver's license and the possibility to use a personal car. The temporary position is from June 1, 2026, to February 28, 2027. Qualifications: - Practical nurse qualification or a degree in accordance with the Act on Health Care Professionals (564/1994) or the Act on Social Welfare Professionals (153/2016). - Satisfactory oral and written skills in both national languages of Finland. - Valid vaccination protection according to the Infectious Diseases Act (1227/2016) section 48. Additionally, the candidate must present a criminal record extract as specified in the Criminal Records Act (6 § 2 mom). A trial period applies.
