Operations Manager - Keitele Group Oy

Keitele Group is a domestic forest industry conglomerate based on responsible wood procurement and high-quality sawmilling and further processing. We develop our operations purposefully and are now seeking an operations manager to strengthen the wood procurement organization within the forestry business. As Operations Manager, you will lead Keitele Group's wood procurement operations as a whole. You will ensure that harvesting and transportation in Keitele, Alajärvi, and Kemijärvi regions are managed according to objectives and that the wood supply to our sawmills located in these areas is secured. Your daily work involves leading operational activities, developing processes, and ensuring smooth collaboration with both your own organization and contractors. Your core responsibilities include overseeing the entire process of timber deliveries and foreign wood deliveries, being responsible for inventory levels of wood flows (logs and pulpwood), leading key roles in operations as a supervisor, managing the overall timber harvesting, transportation, and resources together with the forest manager, being responsible for contracting and contractor relationships in timber harvesting and forest management services, and participating in the external service procurement team, serving as the environmental and sustainability officer for forest business activities, and reporting to the forest manager. We expect from you a forestry background and experience in operational wood procurement activities, vision for managing and developing overall processes, supervisory experience and ability to lead an expert team, and excellent collaboration and interaction skills.
