Job Description
We are looking for Personal Care Assistants to support families in Vantaa and Kerava. You can choose your own working area. In family home services, you will care for children in the families' own homes. You support the daily life and well-being of the families and help prevent and alleviate issues early on. We offer work that fits your life situation in suitable families. Typically, shifts last 2-4 hours. Work is available on weekdays from 7 am to 9 pm and on Saturdays from 8 am to 6 pm. You can choose when to work. Ideally, you can commit to at least one family for about 2-3 months. We are also happy to employ you full-time, although work is paid hourly. You may work in two different families on the same day if desired. Work mainly takes place in the families' homes and surrounding areas across Vantaa and Kerava. OUR OFFER TO YOU: - €16.36 per hour plus evening and weekend bonuses according to the private social services sector collective agreement. - We pay a transition bonus for each transfer during your workday if you work in multiple families on the same day. - Comprehensive paid orientation and opportunities for regular training and development. - Statutory occupational health care and accident insurance. - First aid training for emergencies. - Your supervisor Anna will support you in your independent work whenever needed. We also have a referral bonus. If you recommend Sivina Hoivanet as a workplace to a friend and the referral results in a hire, we will pay you a €50 referral bonus. WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU: - A qualification as a Personal Care Assistant or other relevant social or health sector qualification (childcare worker, nursery nurse, home helper) and professional experience working with children and families. - Initiative and ability to work independently and self-directed. - Good written and spoken Finnish skills. PLEASE NOTE! Good Finnish skills are required for this position. - At least one reference from previous employment working with children. - A clean criminal record suitable for working with children. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract as per the Criminal Records Act section 6, subsection 2. Registration with the National Registry of Professional Qualifications maintained by Valvira is required. ADDITIONAL PREFERENCES: - Experience in caring for children with special support needs (e.g., neuropsychiatric challenges, autism spectrum disorders).
