South Savo Welfare Area Eloisa is seeking a care assistant for a permanent position at Graanin Service Home in Mikkeli, starting on 1 July 2026 or as agreed. Graanin Service Home's service area is elderly housing services. We have 16 24-hour and 48 communal housing units. As a care assistant, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team and act as a personal caregiver for residents. Your duties include assisting residents with daily activities, participating in recreational activities, and tasks related to residents' clothing and meal services. You have the ability and willingness to work with residents in various life situations. You will use your professional skills to support residents' well-being and functional capacity, and you will systematically address their basic needs and overall well-being. You will work in an inspiring and multidisciplinary community. We expect genuine interest in working with the elderly and a work attitude that supports and maintains residents' resources and functional capacity. The position requires vaccination protection as per section 48 of the Infectious Diseases Act and a health statement regarding respiratory tuberculosis as per section 55. A six (6) month trial period applies. Persons working with the elderly must present an acceptable criminal record extract before starting work if the employment exceeds 3 months (Supervision Act 741/2023, section 28).
