Job Description
At the Satakunta Wellbeing Service Area, at the Family Center Etelätuuli (Rauma & Eurajoki), a part-time (40% working hours) and fixed-term position for a child welfare supervisor is available from August 3, 2026, to August 31, 2027. The work of the child welfare supervisor includes guidance and counseling in separation situations and matters related to family law and agreements. The child welfare supervisor confirms agreements between parents regarding child custody, residence, visitation rights, and maintenance. The Family Law Services of the Satakunta Wellbeing Service Area employ ten child welfare supervisors, providing support within the work community. The position requires excellent communication skills, understanding of family situations related to separation, family law/social work, assessment of the child's best interests, and experience working with families. The role demands the ability and readiness for independent client work, as well as good teamwork and workplace skills. A social worker or a person with a suitable higher university degree can serve as a child welfare supervisor. (Social Welfare Act 1301/2014, Section 27a and Act on Social Welfare Professionals 817/2015, Section 7). Good written and spoken Finnish skills are also required. The position may suit a qualified person, such as a social work student in the final stages, who due to personal circumstances would prefer to work a few days a week. Terms of employment and salary are determined according to the SOTE agreement. The position is subject to a 6-month probationary period.
