Maintenance Foreman - Finavia Oyj - Kajaani, Finland

Finavia leads and develops 20 airports in Finland. We are looking for a Maintenance Foreman for a permanent position at Kajaani Airport. The maintenance unit's task is to ensure smooth and safe operating conditions for air traffic. Work is done in close cooperation with air traffic control, other airport operators, and partners. As a foreman, you are responsible for leading and developing your unit's operations and the preparation, implementation, and monitoring of designated projects. You report to the airport manager. In this position, you lead the airport's maintenance work and ensure the smoothness of operational activities. You ensure the functionality of maintenance and the appropriate allocation of resources and participate in operational work if necessary. You are responsible for the planning, prioritization, implementation, and quality control of daily and seasonal maintenance and promote the development and continuous improvement of operations. Additionally, the position includes various administrative tasks such as planning, reporting, and documentation. You lead and guide staff in daily work, participate in orientation, and act as a supervisor in everyday situations. You are responsible for organizing work, using resources, and managing fault and disturbance situations according to agreed operating models. Success in the position requires appropriate education or strong work experience in the field as well as experience in supervisory work. We value technical expertise suitable for the airport environment. You need fluent Finnish language skills and good English language skills. The work requires good physical condition, as you will participate in fire and rescue tasks if necessary. You must have a BC driver's license. A basic security clearance and drug testing will be carried out for the person selected for the position, as well as a Peth test measuring high alcohol consumption for those coming to safety-critical tasks.
