Job Details
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the security posture of the cloud-native data platform
- Design and implement security controls for containerised Python applications
- Embed security into CI/CD via automated checks (SAST, dependency scanning, IaC scanning)
- Secure AWS footprint using Infrastructure as Code (IAM, encryption, private networking)
- Manage database security for Postgres and Redshift
- Implement end-to-end data protection controls (encryption, tokenisation, masking)
- Build security observability (centralised logging, monitoring, alerting)
- Enable secure MLOps/DataOps practices and protect model artefacts
- Create security standards and documentation and mentor engineers
- Build cloud-agnostic security patterns to support Azure migration
Requirements
- Significant experience in DevSecOps/SRE/Platform Engineering roles
- Strong hands-on AWS experience
- Deep knowledge of containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS or ECS)
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation) and CI/CD
- Strong Python skills and secure software engineering practices
- Strong SQL fundamentals and experience securing relational databases (Postgres, Redshift)
- Experience with secrets management and key management (AWS Secrets Manager, KMS)
- Hands-on experience with security tooling (SAST, SCA, container vulnerability scanning, IaC scanning)
- Experience operating production platforms (monitoring, alerting, incident response)
- Working knowledge of data governance and security concepts (data classification, privacy-by-design)
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Experience defining standards and mentoring others
