Heavy Equipment Mechanic

We are seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic for TIP Group in Mikkeli. The role involves hands-on maintenance, repair and diagnostics of trucks and trailers. You will perform a variety of tasks where your hands get dirty and the workmanship withstands scrutiny. Your skills will develop into demanding repairs and installations. The team is looking for someone with industry training (e.g. vehicle mechanic or equivalent) and understanding and experience in heavy vehicle work. The candidate can be at the start of their career or an experienced, skilled technician. The essential is sufficient routine and problem-solving ability to smoothly take on the role after training. Prior experience with brake fittings or trailer technology is valued but not mandatory; comprehensive onboarding will be provided. The mechanic’s duties include moving equipment inside the hall and outside, so a C-driver license is required. The person should be neat, able to work independently yet be people-friendly, proud of their work, and able to fit in with the close-knit TIP Group culture. The workplace in Mikkeli has three other technicians and a supervisor, so you are never alone and support is always available.
