Maintenance Engineer

We are looking for a DEPARTMENT AND AREA ENGINEER FOR WOOD PROCESSING for a permanent employment contract at Metsä Fibre's Kemi bioproduct plant. The Kemi bioproduct plant is the most efficient wood processing plant in the Northern Hemisphere. What kind of work awaits you? As a department engineer, I am responsible for the production and mechanical maintenance performance of the wood processing department in cooperation with the plant's production and maintenance personnel. You are responsible for the daily operation and development tasks of wood processing and act as an expert in the planning and implementation of major repairs. The goal is to manage the department's production and mechanical maintenance operations qualitatively and cost-effectively, taking environmental and safety issues strongly into account. You will act as a supervisor for the department's maintenance installers and report to the maintenance manager in your position. What kind of expertise are we looking for? You have a passion for long-term development and can embrace entities wider than your own area of responsibility. You have previously worked in the wood processing industry in similar positions and have at least an engineering level education suitable for the position. You have experience in mechanical maintenance staff positions and in the use of systems important in the position such as SAP, OMS and M-Files. You can interpret PI diagrams and form safety isolations and work permits in your own area of responsibility. You must have experience in the maintenance of railway tracks and locomotives at a general level. It is also good to have experience in supervisory positions. You must also have the skill to act as a work planner for your own area temporarily. Your main working language is Finnish, but operating with partners also requires English language skills.
