About the role

We are looking for an instructor for a permanent position at Honkakoti, a 24-hour disability services residential unit located in Turengi. We offer a versatile, varied, and interesting job where you can exercise your creativity and deepen your professional expertise. You will be supported by a skilled and encouraging work community. The work involves a variety of care, nursing, and instructional tasks. Our approach values the individuality of the resident. We operate by supporting our residents' independence and respecting their right to self-determination. The eligibility requirement for the position is a vocational qualification in social and health care, practical nurse. Additionally, we require registration in the central register of social and health care professionals, Julkiterhikki. We also hope for an empathetic, positive, unbiased, and proactive work attitude. The work requires the ability to organize one's own work independently, strong teamwork skills, and the ability to act flexibly in changing situations. Experience in disability work, IMO, and communication-supporting methods is an advantage. Our unit's operations require regular 3-shift work. If necessary, we implement internal workforce mobility between nearby units, meaning the place of performance may temporarily change. Job duties require a hygiene passport, LOVe, and an EA course. These can also be completed after the employment begins. Those working with elderly and disabled persons must present a criminal record extract as referred to in Section 6.4 of the Criminal Records Act, in accordance with Section 28.1 of the Act on Social and Health Care Supervision (741/2023). The position-specific salary is €2670.99/month. In addition to the position-specific salary, we pay an experience-based supplement ranging from 0%-8%. The accumulation of leave days is also determined based on the experience supplement. Working hours are 38.15 hours per week. Remuneration and other terms of employment are determined according to the SOTE agreement. The probationary period is six months. Immediate patient and client work requires vaccination protection as required by Section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act and a respiratory tuberculosis clearance according to Section 55.
