System Architect - Cinia Oy - Remote - Global

We are looking for an experienced system architect who wants to focus on designing overall solutions, making technical choices, and guiding architecture. In this role, you will ensure our systems form a cohesive, scalable, and secure entity that supports long-term business goals. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and application architects, but your work will emphasize design, modeling, and technical decision-making. Responsibilities include designing and maintaining architecture and technical roadmaps, making technical choices with developers and application architects, supporting teams in applying architecture principles and best practices, evaluating solutions' impact on performance, security, and maintainability, collaborating with stakeholders to understand business needs, and documenting architecture clearly and keeping it up to date. We expect strong experience in system or solution architecture of tailored application solutions, the ability to understand large entities and make justified technical decisions that maximize customer value, knowledge of modern cloud and service architectures (AWS / Azure / GCP) and/or on-prem solutions, experience with integrations, interfaces, and data models, good communication and facilitation skills, and the desire to act as a bridge between business and technology, guiding and supporting teams without coding. Nice to have skills include practical experience in application development, microservice architecture, event-driven systems, understanding of security architecture, experience with architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, ArchiMate), experience with healthcare systems, designing large and critical system entities, interest in continuous development and process improvement, and experience with AI tools and solutions. The role is hybrid, and you can work from Helsinki, Tampere, or Jyväskylä. A basic security clearance will be required before employment.
