Welcome to our Eastern and Northern Lapland Family Center. We are seeking a Family Support Worker for a fixed-term position in Muonio/Enontekiö from 1 September 2026 to 31 July 2027. Key duties include working with the social worker responsible for the child’s welfare and the network to monitor and assess the child’s situation, support the child and family as defined in the client plan, and provide guidance to clients. Tasks also involve handling child welfare notifications and initial assessments, as well as social guidance for families, making official decisions as required by law, and family work under social welfare legislation. The Family Support Worker participates in duty social work during office hours. We offer regular team meetings and supervisory support, job-specific pay of 3,222.97 €/month, and flexibility through flexible working hours. Requirements: the right to practice social work as a licensed professional; driving license and access to a car. Desirable: experience working with children, youth, and families; independence and good collaboration and communication skills; knowledge of social welfare processes and methodology; prior experience in similar roles. Conditions follow the Social Welfare Agreement; 3-month trial period; criminal background check as required by law; vaccination protection as per health regulations.
