About the role

Your role\nWe are looking for a Shift Supervisor for the Tablet Manufacturing Department in Turku for a permanent position. As a Shift Supervisor in our Tablet Manufacturing Department, you will play a key role in ensuring workplace safety, product quality, and operational efficiency during your shift. Leading a team of approximately twelve professionals, you will oversee the execution of production plans across mass preparation, tableting and coating processes. This department operates on a three-shift schedule. In this role, you will actively participate in safety and quality audits, while driving continuous improvements in quality, safety and productivity. You will have the support of department specialists and fellow supervisors to help navigate day-to-day challenges. Responsibilities Lead production operations to achieve shift-specific goals in collaboration with internal stakeholders, following standardized work models for each product. Manage and develop a team of approximately 12 production employees, ensuring their well-being, performance, and skill growth. Communicate actively with your team about production targets and keep stakeholders and colleagues informed about shift activities. Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity by applying Lean principles. Ensure proper handling of deviations, including initial reporting and corrective actions, and promote a culture of safety through observations and improvement initiatives. Your new team Orion's Global Operations covers the entire pharmaceutical manufacturing process, from sourcing of raw materials to the manufacture of products, packaging and delivery to customers. We are also responsible for the industrialization of new products and product life cycle management. In Global Operations we have approximately 1,600 professionals working in Production, our external supplier network (Externally Sourced Operations) and Fermion Oy (API manufacturing and marketing). In addition, the organization includes Supply Chain & Procurement, Technical Operations, Facility Management, EHS (Environment, Health and Safety), CPD&LCM (Commercial Product Development & Product lifecycle management) and Operations Development. The Tablet Manufacturing Department in Turku employs around 60 people working in various shift patterns (day, two-shift, and three-shift). The department produces both tablets and capsules. There are several different production processes for mass preparation, including direct blending, wet granulation with tray drying, wet granulation with fluid bed drying, and fluid bed granulation. Some products proceed to the coating process after tableting.
