Nutrition Worker

Jokilaaksojen koulutuskuntayhtymä is seeking a nutrition worker starting August 17, 2026, or by agreement. The employment period ends on May 31, 2027. You will work in the daily operations of the student cafeteria at Koulutuskeskus JEDU's Nivala branch: food preparation, customer service, and other kitchen duties. The kitchen also serves as a learning environment for students in the restaurant and catering field. Guidance is part of your daily work. Your place of work is Nivala, but the job description may include tasks at other branches of Jokilaaksojen koulutuskuntayhtymä if necessary. Requirements: - degree in the nutrition field - versatile work experience in kitchen work - hygiene passport - flexibility and adaptability - good customer service skills - good cooperation and interaction skills - ability to engage with different types of learners - basic IT skills - driver's license and access to a private car if necessary Experience working in an educational environment and as a dietary cook will be considered an advantage. The terms of employment are determined by KVTES, and the task-specific salary (2387.26 €/month) is according to JEDU's level salary system. The working time is full-time, 38 h 15 min per week. During the summer and winter holiday periods of education, the employment is on unpaid leave or the employee is assigned other work. The selected candidate must provide an acceptable medical certificate of health and a criminal record extract required for those working with youth according to Act 504/2002 before accepting the position. The probationary period is four months. Interviews will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2026.
