Class Teacher

Keimolanmäki School in Vantaa is seeking a fixed-term class teacher for a 2nd-grade class from September 14, 2026, to June 5, 2027. The role includes close cooperation between pre-primary and primary education. The school is a ProKoulu committed to positive pedagogy, focusing on behavioral skills and emotional and interaction skills. The environment is supportive with a strong mentoring system where new staff are assigned a mentor. Responsibilities include creating a safe, friendly, and calm atmosphere and making learning enjoyable. The teacher is expected to have expertise in teaching emotional and interaction skills, a warm and caring educational approach, solution-oriented working methods, and the ability to be flexible in daily situations. Strong group management skills and knowledge of language-aware pedagogy are required. The role involves collaborative planning and implementation with colleagues. Applicants must meet the eligibility requirements for teaching staff according to Decree 986/1998 and have experience as a class teacher. Experience with pre-primary and primary education classes and the ability to provide individual support to students are considered advantages. A valid criminal record extract is required. The position is a full-time official relationship governed by the OVTES collective agreement.
