We are now looking for a motivated Assistant Manager for our Espresso House café at Kauppakeskus Pasaat in Kotka. The position is permanent and full-time (37.5 hours/week), including shifts during all opening hours of the café: from early mornings to late evenings, including weekends. Role of Assistant Manager As an Assistant Manager, you will act as the right hand to the café manager and assist in leading the café team and business operations in accordance with Espresso House's values and principles. You will participate in the operational activities of the café, focusing on sales and service development with your team, task distribution, ordering, equipment maintenance, and resolving various challenging situations in your café. The most important part of your role is to motivate your team and focus on their well-being and professional development on a daily basis. Salary and benefits: We pay a fixed additional allowance on top of the collective agreement's salary table, making your starting salary between €2600 and €2750/month. Additionally, our employees receive a 50% discount on our food and beverage products. Success in the role You have previous experience in supervisory roles within customer service. Most importantly, you want to grow and develop in a supervisory role and care about our people. You understand overall well-being and can motivate your team by being an inspiring and positive role model. You are interested in business development and want to be involved in monitoring and achieving set goals. You are committed to your work for the long term and aim to progress in your supervisory career towards roles like Coffee Shop Manager. You have good communication skills, solution-oriented mindset, flexibility, and resilience. You are able to work full-time and cover shifts during all opening hours of the café. You speak fluent Finnish: our instructions, training, and team communication are primarily in Finnish.
